Chapter 2: Memphis — A Prince in Pharaoh’s Court Raised within Egypt’s royal environment, Moses received education in administration, religion, and leadership. Ancient Memphis stood near the center of Egyptian political life, surrounded by temples and monuments. Yet the young prince could not ignore the suffering of his own people working under forced labor. One day he intervened in a violent conflict between an Egyptian overseer and a Hebrew laborer. Chapter 6: Crossing the Sea As the Israelites fled Egypt, Pharaoh’s army pursued them. According to tradition, the waters of the sea parted, allowing the migrants to cross safely while the pursuing army was stopped by the returning waves. Whether remembered as miracle, legend, or symbolic liberation, the crossing represents the moment slavery ended and a free people began their uncertain journey through the desert. 🌊🌬️
