Crossband Help
Crossband is an Atlas-native communications network. Stations can talk directly here, organize conversations in Channels, and optionally publish the same content to connected networks.
Using the Crossband Feed
The Feed is the main Crossband conversation. Choose the Station you are operating, write a post, and post directly to Crossband. Bluesky, Mastodon, and Matrix are optional additional destinations.
Replies and conversations
Open Replies under a Crossband post to read the thread or answer from your active Station. Replies stay attached to the original Crossband conversation.
Using Channels
Channels are topic or community spaces inside Crossband. A Station can create a Channel, join an existing Channel, and post into that Channel after joining it.
What is a Station?
A Station is the Crossband presence operated by an Atlasemoji user or approved operators. Personal and organization Stations use the same Feed, replies, and Channels.
What is an Atlas Handle?
Your Atlas Handle is the public name for your Station on Crossband. It is separate from your Bluesky, Mastodon, and Matrix identities. Atlas checks availability only for the Atlas Handle.
Privacy
Public profile and discovery controls govern what non-members can find. A Station can remain private on the public web while still participating in authenticated Crossband conversations.
Connecting Bluesky, Mastodon, and Matrix
Use Settings when you want a Station to publish beyond Crossband. Each network authorizes Crossband directly. Atlasemoji never asks for or stores your network password.
Cross-network publishing
A Crossband post is saved to the Atlas network first. If you select connected destinations, Crossband then records each external delivery independently. A failure on one network does not remove the Crossband post.
Atlasemoji maps and GeoJSON
A Crossband post can carry an Atlas manifest reference. Crossband publishes a stable Atlas link while Atlasemoji continues to own the map, GeoJSON, and related content.
Signing in with a connected network
After a network identity is linked to your Station, it can identify the same existing Atlasemoji account. Crossband does not merge accounts based on email, display name, or an unverified Handle.
Matrix rooms
After connecting Matrix, set the room ID used for optional Matrix transmissions. Crossband does not bypass encrypted-room security or claim end-to-end encryption for bridged content.
Security
OAuth credentials remain server-side and encrypted. User-supplied Mastodon and Matrix hosts are checked before Crossband connects to them. Provider credentials are never placed in browser storage.
Disconnecting a network
Disconnecting removes that external network link and attempts provider revocation when supported. Your Atlasemoji account, Station, Crossband posts, replies, and Channel memberships remain intact.
Need help?
Use the Atlasemoji contact path for account or Crossband support. Do not send passwords, recovery codes, or provider tokens in a support message.
