Xref helps translate messy business data into useful operational records. One system may send GTIN while another needs UPC. One partner may use a custom ship-to code while another system needs a store ID. Xref gives teams a practical way to align those values.

This is important because partner data is rarely perfect. Customers, suppliers, and brokers may all use different names. Retailers and internal systems may use different codes or field labels. Xref can help map those differences before the data drives inventory, geofencing, CRM, or downstream workflows.

Xref can also support simple if-then style logic. If one record contains a certain item code, location name, or partner ID, the system can map it to the value needed by the next workflow. The same idea can apply to selected attributes.
